Hello! My name is Silvia Lugo, and I am a mental skills coach for athletes. Mental skills training systematically uses techniques and strategies such as self-talk, imagery, and goal-setting to increase psychological variables like motivation, concentration, and enjoyment. As a mental skills coach, my goal is to help athletes achieve their full potential by improving their mental game. I work with athletes of all levels, from beginners to professionals, to help them develop the mental skills necessary to succeed in their sport. Whether you are struggling with confidence, focus, or motivation or want to take your game to the next level, I can help you overcome these challenges and reach your goals. Why mental skills training?

As an athlete I experienced many of the challenges that can affect optimal performance: getting nervous, injuries, self-confidence and concentration amongst others. When the athlete trains the mental component, she or he consistently uses empirically based tools to achieve a state of competitive flow. I learned to use mental skills to effectively concentrate before competitions, maintain a positive self-talk, become more resilient and, above all, enjoy a better performance!
