As an athlete, I experienced many of the challenges that can affect optimal performance: getting nervous, injuries, self-confidence, and concentration amongst others. When the athlete trains the mental component, she or he consistently uses empirically-based tools to achieve a state of competitive flow. I learned to use mental skills to effectively concentrate before competitions, maintain positive self-talk, become more resilient, and, above all, enjoy a better performance!
The design of the training program is based on the goals and needs of the athlete. This program provides a menu of empirically-based tools to help the athlete achieve optimal performance.
