Mission and Vision

MISIÓN Y VISIÓN

The mission is to improve physical performance through mental strength.

Vision

The vision is to share the value and knowledge of mental training with individuals and communities across all sports.

Education and Training

I represented the island of Puerto Rico as a national team athlete in youth categories and the women’s team from ages 14 to 25. As a national team athlete, I participated in the Centroamerican games, Olympic Qualifiers, and International tournaments. Representing Puerto Rico required a full commitment to my sport, and it allowed me to expand my athletic dreams to the next level. When I was a senior in high school, I received a scholarship to play for IMG Academies (Bradenton, FL). At IMG Academies, I had the opportunity to learn from the best mental skills coaches in the world and to effectively apply techniques such as positive self-talk, concentration, and goal-setting strategies on and off the soccer field. Once I graduated, I earned a four-year scholarship to play at the NCAA Division II Barry University Women’s soccer team while completing my degree in psychology.

Mental Skills Coach Experience

As part of my training, I have worked with teams and individuals in Puerto Rico and the United States under the supervision of a licensed psychologist since 2016. In 2017, I worked as a mental skills coach for IMG Academy with an interdisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to developing athletes in the realms of nutrition, strength, leadership, and mental skills. In 2018 I worked for the Pittsburgh Pirates organization with players and coaches, developing mental skills programs for the team and individuals and assisting Latino athletes in their acculturation process to the United States. In 2019, Juego Mental was created to expand mental skills training for athletes of all ages and sports. Since its creation, I have served athletes from diverse sports and competitive levels, including the Olympics, professional, collegiate, and elementary through high-school grades. I work with coaches, parents, and sport organization leaders to develop mental skills programs to enhance the athletic environment and performance.
