Mission Statement

WHy?

My name is Silvia Maria Lugo Merced, MA and I am a mental skills coach. My works focuses on the mental component of sports because as an athlete, it served to optimize my athletic performance and enjoyment.

Education and Sports experience

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in sport psychology. I was awarded an athletic scholarship to play soccer at IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL (high school). I was awarded an athletic scholarship to play soccer at Barry University in Miami, FL (NCAA II). I am a former member of the Puerto Rican National soccer team for 11 years with competitive experiences that included: pre-Olympic tournaments, Centro American & Caribbean Games, World cup Qualifiers, international friendlies.

Experiences as a Mental Skills Coach

Experience working with youth and adult athletes, both teams and individuals.
Experiences with athletes of Olympic, national, professional and amateur levels.
Experience with athletes of the following sports: soccer, volleyball, baseball, tennis, basketball, track-and-field, golf, softball, American football, lacrosse, CrossFit, skateboarding.
Experience providing educational workshops to coaches and parents (on-site and virtual). Workshops available in Spanish, English, or combination of both languages.
